Jason & Rebecca | Sandy Point State Park Engagment

Jason and Rebecca had the HOTTEST engagement session at Sandy Point State Park near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It was probably 98 degrees and a humidity of 95%. It was crazy, but that did not stop us from having a lot of fun and capturing some great images! Jason and Rebecca are getting married tomorrow at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and I am so happy for them! They have a lot of fun together and I think it shows in their photos! Enjoy!

Chad & Gina | Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding

What can I say about Chad & Gina? They were the best wedding to shoot as the first wedding of the season! Gina’s personality is contagious. She was high fiving people all day out of pure excitement! Chad’s dimples were in full view all day from his broad smiles. I really, really enjoyed myself at this wedding with my sister Rebecca assisting me. Chad wrote Gina the most beautiful wedding day card that he MADE by hand and included funny stories and photos from their history, which made all the girls in the room tear up. Gina gave Chad a watch band he had been eyeing, but when he saw that she had engraved his sweet name for her in his ring, his joy was overwhelming. His “Little Jasmine Flower” had given him the best gift he said.

The sun was shining clear and the day was warmer than usual for April and the Chesapeake Bay winds were blowing that afternoon. But it made for some playful shots with Gina’s veil and allowed us great moments on the beach at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Allison Barnhill Designs created Gina’s elegant, clean nautical themed wedding paper with my favorite color blue! And the gals from Intrigue Design & Decor knocked it out of the park with the flowers and ceremony draping. I love when I can shoot dancing all night long because the DJ keeps the floor full of people and I was not disappointed by Jason Wallace and Jacob Jensen of Absolute Entertainment.

Mint, Peach and Gold Styled Tablescape | Celebrating Love by Marcie

One of my dear friends Marcie is a phenomenal stylist! She can make a tablescape stunning! For the Charm City Marriage Bridal Show at the Engineer’s Club last weekend, Marcie, of Celebrating Love by Marcie, created this incredible set up. I love the colors, patterns and touches of gold! Marcie has an incredible eye and is the new HOT event stylist & designer hitting the MD/DC area. She is no newbie to event design and styling, but is entering the wedding industry this year! PLEASE do not hesitate to book her for your wedding – you will not be disappointed. EVERYTHING I have seen her do is gorgeous!!! Her new website focused on weddings is launching soon and I will make a big deal over that when it comes, but in the meantime you can check email her at marcielenick (at) gmail (dot) com.

I asked Marcie to share with me her inspiration and process,

“One of the things designers need to be aware of are trends. I don’t tend to follow them all, only the ones I like or for a client requests.

I have been really inspired but the color trend combinations of peach and mint green, aqua and tangerine. So did my on lil spin on it and combined aqua and peach. It reminded me of a soft sunset at the beach. This design is a lil modern elegance, but with a touch of whimsy and fun!
The backdrop was created using  crepe paper and shredding scissors. The beautiful print with gold foil lettering is from Lara Casey, all the china is my own, I arranged the flowers myself. I used a combination of satin ribbon, paper lace and gold twine for the menus I created. The glitter vases are recycled glass jars, mod podge and gold glitter.”
I think it turned out fabulous! What do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments and welcome Marcie to the wedding industry. (Feel free to pin these images, but please credit them like this: Styling: Celebrating Love by Marcie | Photo:

Ryan & Corinne | Sandy Point State Park Engagement Session

Ryan and Corinne are getting married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club this weekend. We thought it would be fitting to have a fun Chesapeake Bay engagement session at Sandy Point State Park right at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Corinne wanted to include some fun shots on a bike and we ended up dying laughing trying to coordinate those shots! Riding a bike with your fiancé on the handlebars is no easy task! I am excited for their wedding this weekend and can’t wait to see them tie the knot!

Ryan & Corinne | Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding » Kimberly Brooke Photography - […] Ryan & Corinne were married on a sunny, warm April weekend on the Chesapeake Bay. They had their first look in a grove of trees in front of the church. Ryan’s eyes said it all! Corinne was lovely in her gown (with her sparkling Sperry’s underneath). After a traditional ceremony, we headed to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club for a grand reception in the Sunset Ballroom. Corinne and Ryan had so much fun together on their wedding day! They were always together and dancing! So fun to watch them enjoy their day. Check out all of the cool bicycle details from the invites, to the cake topper, to the seating chart/favors! I was looking forward to these details after we planned for some bicycle shots in their engagement shoot! […]
